Sam’s Ultimate Lunch Campaign to reward customers for social media interaction

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 3, 2012 — Interacting with Sam’s Sports Grill on Facebook and Twitter just got a lot more rewarding.

On Sept. 1 with the help of modern engagement company Chekd.In, Sam’s will launch the Ultimate Lunch Campaign that rewards customers for actions they perform across social, mobile and Web applications.

“Many of our customers already interact with our restaurant on social media, and we wanted a program that could track and reward them for their interactions,” said Sam Sanchez, co-owner of Sam’s Sports Grill. “As far as I know, we’re the only sports bar in town that is using social media in this way, and we’re excited to see how our customers will respond.”

Here’s how it works. There are four levels of engagement actions to complete and four different rewards that customers will receive once they complete an action. Simply put, the more you play, the more you win.

To join the Ultimate Lunch Campaign, customers must sign up at by giving a valid email address or cell phone number to which all rewards will be emailed or texted, respectively.

After the initial registration, Level One will prompt the customer to connect Facebook and Twitter accounts to receive a coupon code for a free spicy chorizo Queso dip at lunch. Level Two asks customers to ‘LIKE’ Sam’s on Facebook to receive a buy one, get one lunch coupon. If you already like Sam’s on Facebook, you will still win the prize. Level Three requires customers to check in to Sam’s on Facebook to win a free Sam’s t-shirt. The last level asks customers to post a photo at Sam’s to Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #samsfan to get a $10-off lunch coupon.

“Ultimately, we want to keep our customers engaged and excited in the Sam’s brand, and social media is one of the best ways to reach our customers. We’ve got some great rewards for our customers who participate in this program, and we really think they’ll enjoy playing to win,” said Sanchez.
